When the Moon is full, as it rises on the horizon, sometimes it looks like a big cheese. People can swear that it is bigger near the horizon than up there in the sky. Is this a Moon Illusion? Why does this happen?

We have prepared a template to help you produce your own MoonDays poster with the phases of the Moon. A colored poster in English ready to print and space enough for students to place the images they capture and text they wish to add. This can be done manually (glue) on the printed poster or importing the pdf poster into adequate software for desktop publishing and adding more contents in there.

GTTP MoonDays Educator’s Corner
The Galileo Teacher Training Programme MoonDays is being launched in support to the Astronomers Without Borders global event: Global Astronomy Month 2011. The Educator’s Corner is just one of the components of the GTTP MoonDays.
