The 4th webinar of Open Discover Space brought together a group of experts and school students around the world to wake up Rosetta from it’s two-year-long-deep-sleep. Dr. Koen Geurts from DLR (Germany) and Dr. Pamela Gay from CosmoQuest discussed the science behind Rosetta spacecraft, what’s next for the mission after the wake up and its exploration of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The hangout was joined by students from Greece, Portugal and Ireland asking questions. Black Rock Castle Observatory played a key part in getting the Irish students together for the hangout.
