Teachers in Australia invited to take part in the ‘Astronomy from the Group Up!’ teacher training workshop organised by CSIRO which will be held at the Parkes Observatory from 15 to 17 May 2015.
The workshop will include wide range of topics and activities from pedagogy for effective teaching of astronomical concepts to examples in current research information on key aspects of astronomy that will enhance the confidence in teaching the subject effectively. The workshop will be presented by professional astronomers and experienced astronomy educators. Throughout the workshop, participants will get to experience hands-on activities, tour the Parkes radio telescope, take home a range of useful and practical resources, among other things.
