Followed by the experience and skills gained at the ESA-GTTP workshop in Madrid (February 2012), Agnieszka Dabrowska, a teacher consultant from Poland along with her colleague Stefan Paszkiewicz (physics teacher) organised a series of training events for local teachers.
Covering astronomical topics in the national curriculum from primary to secondary level, the participants received both practical and theoretical knowledge. One of the workshops focused on the exercises and experiments on Mars and another focused on Venus with tracking clouds on Venus. Teachers also had access to the e-learning MOODLE platform for a period of time in order to enhance the learning experience.
Dabrowska and Paszkiewicz also included practical activities using Stellarium, Celestia and WorldWide Telescope for the participants.
