GalileoMobile, a traveling science education project that brings astronomy closer to young people, released a photo-book depicting their “Khagol Rath expedition” in India, July 2012. The book firmly captures the vibrant of their effort to educate and broaden the minds of the children and adults in rural communities. During the two week journey the team visited villages between Bangalore and Mysore in a van filled with astronomy equipments and excitement. The team reached 1600 students from 12 schools during the expedition. During this expedition, GalileoMobile also took the extra step to educate the teachers by holding teacher training workshops in every school they visited.
