After a successful online edition in 2020, GHOU – Global Hands-on Universe Conference was back this year, taking place Online from 23-27 August 2021.
In fact, last year, the GHOU Online Conference 2020 received an amazing response from the community, with over one thousand registered participants from 85 different countries. The full program spanned over 100 hours of content, which could be followed live by registered participants via Zoom, and by anyone else interested using GHOU’s Facebook page. These numbers made the GHOU Conference 2020 one of the largest online events in the field of Astronomy Education of all time.
This year, the 5 days of the GHOU 2021 conference sessions were again hosted in 3 different time zones spread 8 hours apart from each other, so participants from all parts of the world could participate.
65 hours of conference, with amazing and inspiring people! 590 registered participants from 70 countries, 11 keynote speakers (leading scientists and educators), 91 oral presentations, 16 workshops, 1 roundtable.
